During this 1-month Africa mission trip, you'll have the chance to experience life among several distinct cultures. Although many people speak Afrikaans and Oshiwambo dialects, the official language in Namibia is English, allowing you to build close relationships. You’ll spend time in the city market getting to know local vendors, many of whom come from surrounding Himba tribes.
After completing Worldview Training with EM’s Africa Director, you’ll have a clearer understanding of the local perspective and challenges of serving cross-culturally. Be a part of ministry in local schools, working with kids in the classroom and after school. You may also get creative with outreach through sports, homework help, and feeding ministries, serving in practical ways while connecting with locals and host families on a deeper level.
